6 Simple Habits that can Fix 80% of your Problems
1. Plan your day the night before
This habit increases your productivity and focuses throughout the day. Things become simple when everything is planned.
You know exactly what you are going to do and why you are going to do it. This prevents you from wasting your time on trivial things.
Use a high-performance planner or your phone note to highlight your tasks.
More than 80% of your problems will be fixed if you master this habit.
2. Finish tasks that take 5 minutes or less
Work stress and anxiety come from too many tasks. Even if these tasks are small that require less time, your mind will overwhelm you.
What makes it harder is when your tasks aren’t arranged. Prioritizing tasks based on how important and what comes first is an important skill.
Finish any task that takes 5 minutes. These tasks are:
- Answer important emails and messages
- Update your schedule
- Hug your kids
- Do pushups
There are other many tiny tasks that you can get done. It depends on the kind of lifestyle you are living.
3. Social media detox
Keep track of the time you spend scrolling through social media.
In today’s world, most people waste 70% of their day on social media apps.
Being aware of the time you spend on each app will give you an overview of how to spend your day better doing productive things.
Here’s how I spend my phone time.

4. Have non-negotiable
These are things that must be done no matter what the circumstances.
My weekly non-negotiable are:
- Read at least 20 pages or listen to an audiobook
- Stretching
- Learn new things
- 15 minutes meditation
- 40 minutes walk
5. Get enough rest
Working hard is important, but what’s more important is your health.
Reduce the time you spend on your phone before sleeping or in the club. Get to bed early and let your mind and body get enough rest time.
Don’t expect yourself to get all your tasks done by sleeping for 4 hours only.

6. Follow the 80/20 rule
Instead of investing your time and energy in tasks that will take the most time of your day.
Invest your energy and time doing things that will maximize your productivity. If you wake up lazy and bored, then start working; your productivity will be low.
But if you wake up, exercise, then start working. Your productivity will be high for that day.
It’s simply because you invested your time and energy in tasks that will maximize your productivity. 20% of the tasks yield 80% of the results.
